Naz and Ann, our dedicated Educational Welfare Officers, were honoured to speak at a recent Shelter UK Community Event, showcasing Woodside’s impactful collaboration with Shelter and its positive effect on family wellbeing and student attendance.

🌟 Key Highlights:

  • Policy & Advocacy: Jessa Faithfull from NAS shared insights into national housing policy and advocacy.

  • Local Impact: Shelter’s survey of 30 Waltham Forest schools revealed the deep effect housing challenges have on children’s education.

  • Workshops at Woodside: 

    • Homelessness Prevention

    • Housing Options for Children with Additional Needs

    • Interim & Hotel Accommodation These workshops supported 86 families.

Shelter provides our families with accurate housing advice, helping us better understand their needs and strengthen our support services.
