Clay

We would like to share with you some clay work created by Woodside pupils from 3D animals, clay figures on painted scenes and inspiration taken from the underwater world to create clay tiles. For the tiles we cut shapes of sea life out of clay and attached them to a flat background using a technique called crosshatching. We indented patterns and textures with tools and shells. Then we painted them using big brushes for the background and small ones for the details.
