Primary Academy

Leadership Management and Environment Committee

This committee looks at how the Woodside school leaders are accountable for pupil outcomes.  They robustly check our monitoring and evaluation framework to ensure the academy is continuing to improve outcomes for all pupils.

The committee challenges us to ensure our systems and structures support the consistency required for the school across two sites and 38 classes.  Our recent Ofsted report highlighted that the school has acheived this outcome very successfully.

The Committee produces its judgements using the Woodside handbook (Ofsted subsidiary guidance, August 2016).  The academy reports back on progress that is made regarding the judgements, and robustly supports this with evidence from the monitoring and evaluation schedule.

While reporting at meetings is a key tool for judgements and feedback, governors also monitor evidence through focused school visits and meetings with key leaders on a termly basis.
