Nursery Settling and Transitions

Information about our settling and transition procedures

Daycare Settling Week

We have a one-week settling in period which builds to allow the child to see a whole nursery day.

We have a settling week fee, which is a one-off fee of £200.00 for a week of settling.  This is a whole week even if the child does not attend every day.  We feel this is good practice in allowing children to get to know the routine, key people and ease them into their new environment.  This does not get deducted from the fees and is additional in place of charging fees for the settling days.

Transitions

All children will automatically transition to the next age range after their birthday.

Transitions are arranged by John Coggin Nursery Operations Manager, in conjunction with the room leaders and key person, to make sure there is a smooth transition between rooms within the nursery.

Children may move up to the next age range once they have had their birthday, or when the nursery has the next main admission intake.
